MALAGA FERIA

The most important event on the summer social calendar here on the Costa del Sol, the Málaga Feria, is a magical and unforgettable event. There’s partying by day…and partying by night, During the day the Feria del Centro kicks off at about noon in the historic Málaga city centre and you can see immaculately groomed, high-stepping, noble Andalusian horses, their proud riders dressed in exquisite traditional regional costumes, the swirling skirts of the flamenco dancers caught up in the passion and frenzy of infectious guitar rhythms.

WHITE VILLAGES

MIJAS A stroll through the white washed streets with their nooks and crannies, the patios, the hermitages… the village conserves the tranquillity and enchantment of the past, sheltered by the mountain range and looking out towards the countryside and the sea. There are various interesting monuments such as the Bull ring, different from all others due to its original oval shape. There are also two mudejar style churches: the Parish Church, built on the ruins of an old mosque and castle between the years 1541-65, and the San Sebastian Shrine built at the end of the XVII century. Another interesting point is the Shrine of the Virgen de la Peña (Virgin of the Rock), Patron Saint of the Town, excavated in a rock around the year 1682. The gardens and the many view points at the fortress walls of the town are well worth a visit. From any point of the village looking up into the mountain you will see the Shrine of the Calvario
